Re: My 65 Pickemup project

Ya for sure on the plates. It's a 6 truck, O.G. paint with an ultra clean body. A few dents but real solid.
Full Porter Built on 22s is the plan. I found a cool factory spec sheet behind the seat springs. It kinda gave me the low down on the truck.

Re: My 65 Pickemup project

Dude .... it'd fit especially if you continue to use the pool as a back drop.

I like the truck & with the potterbilt stuff .... sweet!!

It did look like it sprung apart too.

Oh .... is that a smashed up uni in the background?? My old uni:

Re: My 65 Pickemup project

Haha Pestwagon, good eye. I wish I could get that thing out from under the seat springs in one piece. I have a SBC with a 700R4 for it, just a simple daily driver.

Re: My 65 Pickemup project

Delmo,
I am a new member, but I have followed the 65 from the magazine to you tube to even pinterest. I know that it has been forever since the build, but I know that you still use this style. I am building a 64 short fleet side. Out of all of the wheels out there I love your style of centerlines. From the 65 to the green truck on "Day at Del's" and "sea-Ten". When I get to that stage I think I will go with the 64-66 hub caps lime on the green truck. Would you care to tell me what style smoothie that you use, and maybe the best place to get them? Thank you Delmo

Re: My 65 Pickemup project

22X9 Centerline smoothies.
265/35/22 front and rear.
1956 truck hubcap and clips.
I had to modify the caps to fit but in the end was worth it I think.
What do you guys think?

Delmo, how did you decide where to mark the holes to drill?

If you end up with wheels like centerline or transits, thestruggle55 on IG sells cap clips with templates
