Pics of Unmolested Bagged Trucks?

Here's the deal, I can't bring myself to cutup my truck for that laid out look. I've seen a few on bags where they retained the stock inner fenders and didn't cutup the bed. Yea they don't lay frame but they still look good. If they ever want to go back to stock it's not a big deal.

If you've done it please post pics and list your hardware. We all wanna know!

Re: Pics of Unmolested Bagged Trucks?

What you're talking about is a truck that has air springs, instead of coil springs, right?

I'm not familiar with air springs. I'm talking about air bags in place of springs.

Check out Air Lift (Google it) and Firestone for them. Air springs are what get called Bags....because, it is the bag that is the spring.

Running something similar to this system from Air Ride Technologies. Some folks just piece them together.

Nice to see that you got your truck up and running. I bought your cab dolly from you sometime ago. This kit is what you are looking for. You will not have to " cut up the truck" to install it. Pretty much just opening up holes and some new holes. It is pricey for what you get, but no homework is involved. Just buy it and install it. I would not use the line that is supplied. I would use aluminum fuel line for the lines with push lock fittings. Other then that the kit is nice as kit as you can buy. One good thing about buying a complete system is that you have only one go to guy, this being Air Ride Tech. good luck, Daniel.

IMHO, lowering a truck IS molesting it.

I see. But dropping in a 383 and 700R4 is not molestation?

Molestation is in the eye of the bee holder, is it not?

Great looking rides, gents.

As far as my truck goes, Most everything I touch gets molested.
I.E. engine, tranny, suspension, steering (etc.)

New opinions are always suspected, and usually opposed, without any other reason but because they are not already common.

On my part it might be a little toward the ignorant side.

Just bagged the front, but had to notch the rear and cut the bed. With 20's you shouldn't have to loose the inner fenderwells, but to get it that low in the back, you will have to raise the bed floor or cut it.

Not picking on you but using your info as an example.....

Everyone needs to be careful when reading & interpeting the info shared in these type of threads. Manxxman's truck looks really low for not having to cut things up. It also looks like he's also running super low profile tires which makes a big difference between rubbing & not.

Try listing how you achived the drop in your pics w/a parts list & post up your wheel tire info as well (width, back-spacing, tire size, & specific mods if any were necessary).

Nice looking ride Manxxman!

Re: Pics of Unmolested Bagged Trucks?

Not mine but what a thread like this needs.....

73-87 disc swap & drop spindles
Bags in place of front coils (plate on top, cup on bottom)
Home made rear c-notches (similar in height to CPP's/Porterbuilts bolt in stuff)
Lowering blocks
Bags bolted in place of coils
Modified shock mounts
Long/super adjustable Panhard bar
20x8.5's w/5.75"bs & 255-40-20 Toyo's
20x10's w/5.0"bs & 295-40-20 Toyo's

Rear bedsides were modified to allow more wheel/tire room @ the bedsides.
