Dang Chuck. You come here and ask us truknuts what you ought to do? You know what we are gonna say. Most of us anyway. Still love your truck.
However you've had it for a few years now and I can understand you wanting a change. 'velles are way cool too. Big block and 5 speeds? Oh yeah.

Re: your input needed!!

I had a 71 Chevy truck that my dad bought before he passed away. I kept it for about 10 years and than I sold it to get a Chevelle. If I had it to do over I would have kept the truck.

I know your situation is a little different, but the same in a way too. It is a tough decision, just make sure you give it a lot of thought before hand.

BTW Nice looking truck you have.

Here is my two cents...
You should never make a major decision when you are emotionaly comprimised which you definately are, anyone would be after one of their parents dies, it will be a while longer before you have gone through the greiving process completely, so I say wait untill you are sure you are making a rational decision.

Re: your input needed!!

As a guy who NEVER sells vehicles but only buys them, I'd say keep the truck and buy the Chevelle to park next to it!

Re: your input needed!!

We're sad to hear it Chuck but understand it's time to go a different direction. I hope it goes to someone who will take good care of it. I would love to have it in my garage.

perfect.....I have one you can buy. Needs work though.

Actually its a 69 chevelle malibu with a 307. I kinda want it gone as my son has lost the interest in it. No sense working on it if he's not keeping it.

Re: your input needed!!

Hmmm...Chevelles are cool and all that, but your truck is awesome and one of the nicest ones out there. I hope you're not taking that for granted. My girlfriend lost her father in March, after him not doing too well since late in '11 and it has thrown her for a loop. I know she's struggling with things, even when it doesn't show. I lost my dad about 8 years ago and even though I couldn't see it at the time,it definitely had a big affect on me and how I felt about a lot of things. I'm thinking maybe let it marinade a while longer. If it's meant to be,there's no reason to hurry.

cdowns has a point. I know everyone is different, however you could always think about keepin the truck and finding a fixer chevelle to work on in your parents memory. Heck even pinstrip his name on the truck lid.

Had to put in my 2 cents. Best of luck on whatever choice you make.

Re: your input needed!!

my oldest grandson loved the truck, but he shows more excitement about a car. I hope he and the other grandson can start building memories.
As far as the truck goes, i hope it is taking care of!
