I amm looking to find/red door panels fir a 72 cheyenne.......Im bearing they were never made, and I will need to dye mine? Is that true? I have nev er had much luck dying panels....tbey always sem to chip or scratch and leave the previous panel color exposed. I have also heard tbe reproduction panels are low quality. Does anyone have a super nice-super clean pair of red cheyenne panels? Thanks, Greg

I think the made them in red, but for some reason I want to say only on big trucks, like 2 tons. Someone else will know for sure.

Not sure if this is the correct color red you need. i think they are a little pricey and I would make sure they have a good return policy. I have heard mixed reviews about the quality of LMC parts.

Good Luck

Scratch that, after I posted above I went back and read that they are painted. You can do that yourself.

Re: red interior on a 72

The red door panels I have in my '72 came out of a big truck, too. I found them at a swap meet in Springfield, Mo. They are orangish, like the red paint in '72.

Thanks for the reply........since they were in a 60series....I am assuming they were not Cheyenne panels with the wood trim?

Thanks,
Greg

I think you could find them in the deluxe pattern ( with the scroll and SS trim ring). Then you could add the WG panels. If you find the base door pannels you can add the trim ring and the woodgrain.
