Can the frame be fixed

Brother crashed the
'72 C/20. Bent the front frame horn. Is it costly to straighten this out?

Took a pretty hard lick to move those rails that far. A good collision repair shop should be able to pull them back in place. No clue how much it would cost.

Ouch, that was a hard hit!

I had a 95 chevy frame straightened. It was a rear end accident and was probably about 5 degree bend behind the cab, Cost me $250. Yours may cost quite a bit more with that much damage. Check with a body collision shop as gary said. Most of them do frame repair.

Most body shops can do it but that more than likely is bent farther back than that too and there hard to straighten especially new trucks with exotic metals in the frames I have done a couple new trucks I'm not sure what they charged but we had to do full on collision repair it might be cheap if you tear everything off for them

Here where I'm at in Calif. I could get that straightened and squared for less than $500.
Be as good as new, maybe better.

Too bad your not in AR my frame machine will be empty monday morning that looks to be an easy one, bent only from the crossmember forward. The main thing about most of those places ,and I have been to a lot of them before I bought my own machine is that they won't work on your truck while your there. there is always something else pressing that needs to get out or that was promised to a customer or whatever. They don't want you to see actually how long it takes to pull the frame back around. The biggest thing to your job would be the tie down. I belive that it would be a simple pull to get it back around into the shape it needs to be to hang the sheetmetal and have you riding again. I would not start to talk about a price for that since pricing seems to be all over the place in different parts of the country what I think may be good in one spot might be high to somebody else and what they think is cheap may be hiway robbery on down the road just a little bit.But back to the important thing at hand, the truck. It can and should be, if you want, to be saved. Jim

Probably around $500 to straighten that out.. Good news is I have the fenders and core support for sale that you need!

I have all the parts to fix it ...but the swaybar brackets. They are riveted in and one side broke off. You can see how far the swaybar bushing moved to the right.

I live about a mile away from a frame guy that's been there's for 40+years. Have to stop and talk with him about this.

Really worst case I see frames for sale all the time for 3-500.

If it were me I'd jump over to the regional section and ask if anyone has some extra room and hands to help. You'd be surprised what strangers will do to help out with.

Maybe. remove the bad stuff and you will feel better. I got 35.00 "beer money" at the recycler for fender and hood and other parts. When I have cash, there's "no" parts around to get . When I am tapped out, They are all over Cragslist.

I don't profess to be an expert, but that frame has really been moved sideways Had to be kinked under the front cab mounts or just behind the a arms?

Got her back this morning. $175.00 to bend the frame back ...plus a free front and alighnment after I get it together. What a deal this was!!!

Could use a heater core housing w/o AC. I might gave to fix this one. Blower motor was smashed into the case.
