Oh, going for an econo build, huh?

Welcome! Sounds like it'll be fun to watch along. PLEASE be good about taking pictures and posting periodic updates. Best of luck!

Oh, PS: Load your photos to Photobucket or a site like that. Then all you have to do is click on the button they have that now says, "Email & IM" and it'll flash, "copied". Once that happens, you just paste the code it copied here in your text and the photo will be full sized here on this site. Again, good luck.

Example:

Now that I've told you, its not working as it usually does. But Photobucket has been making some oddball changes lately so...

Re: New Guy on the block..1956 Chevy Build

you're not wasting any time are you? Atta boy! The truck looks like it's a really good shape to start with. It sounds like you have a very clear path to follow. The firewall is looking better already

Re: New Guy on the block..1956 Chevy Build

If you do a search there are varying opinions on the quality of patch panels. You need "cab corners" and metal for the door repairs.

Is the firewall panel welded in? I assume rosette welds, not a continuous bead all around?

Re: New Guy on the block..1956 Chevy Build

I will look around on here for the opinions grgarding patch panals....Yes fire wall welded....jump around tacks from side to side...then 1/4" welds jumping around so that the metal did not get to hot.
