transmission mount
I am finishing up my th350 to 700r4 swap and I ran into one last snag. The 700r4 transmission mount is too tall. I tried to jack up the trans to mount the cross member but even with the trans touching the bottom of the cab the rubber on the transmission mount is too thick to slide the crossmember under it.
Does anyone know of a more slim or low profile transmission mount I could use? I need about an inch. Thank you all |

Re: transmission mount
Just reuse your TH350 mount. It's the same bolt pattern as the 700 uses.

Re: transmission mount
Let me see if I can find where I bought mine. I just did this swap and didn't have any issues. Didn't even have to drill holes for the crossmember.

Re: transmission mount
Ill have to swing by oreillys and take a look at that one. I ordered one from cpp that looks like that but its the one that's too thick.

Re: transmission mount
Assuming you're using a stock 67-72 type of automatic trans crossmember and a mount like I posted above, if its still hitting, you might look toward sagging cab mounts. That is a combination that has been done many times by many people, including myself personally. It should work without hitting.
