67 ls3 t56 build

Well it all started with 2x6's and a welder. I'm not much of a writer but I'll try. Started with a lq4 and 4l80e and I started over with an 2010 ls3 with a t56.

Well last night I got the body back on for the umteenth time.. Trying to figure out back spacing and final ride height. Also I managed to get long tube headers tucked in there. What a pain, a little torching and bending I got them to fit. Anyone know if there are adapters for a stock 2010 corvette wiring harness to lug into a t56? I'd like to reuse the stock harness. Can I just get the plugs and rewire it?

Posting Another pic to see if it's the right direction. While im here is like to also ask another question. I'm running dbw and I have the 2010 vette pedal. Does this style run a Pac module? Where and how does the pedal plug into the ecm wiring?

The PCM really only needs the VSS from the T56, and that particular pigtail is the same if auto to T56.

For the DBW, you need a DBW compatible PCM, TAC (not Pac) module, and have someone who's an stock PCM expert set it all up. Honestly, when you get into mixing and matching stuff for engine management it can be a bit tricky.

The LS3 is a 58x tooth reluctor, the LQ4 was most likely a 24x. That can't be changed within the PCM. You'll need to do your research carefully here, and don't forget to look into aftermarket solutions. (MS3, Holley, etc)

Edit: I think I misunderstood. You're using the stock LS3 PCM, correct? That simplifies things.

I'm using a stock ecm from the vette plus a stock harness from the ls3. The motor was maited with a stick. Hopefully that helps clarify some things.

WHoo, last april was the last time I posted on my truck. I have the frame now mostly fabbed up. I have a ton of welding and grinding to do yet. Im currently working on getting my traction bars hooked up. I figured out how to thin my Factory corvette harness. I need to start getting motivated on my project again..

NEED HELP!!! So I dont really know which look I like better, the top of the tire right by the lip of the fenders or the top of the rim right by the lip of the fenders. Were talking like 1.5 in. But to me its a completely different look. I showed the wife and she likes the more slammed looked with the rim closer to the fender lip. I agree with her but then I go back and forth. It would be alot easier for me to drop the front now than the back. thats probably the biggest reason I'd like to just lower the front and be done with it.. What do you guys think?

I definitely agree that the rim to fender look is better. Just that small amount of tire tuck gives it an aggressive stance and looks proportionally correct with larger wheels. I am in the same spot with my truck. Right now it's tire to fender but it looks kind of goofy to me. I've photo-shopped it at rim to fender it it's a whole new attitude.

I was tucking front tire like the white truck shown with a static drop and was bumping (and cutting) the tire on bumpy turns (the tire was hitting the inner fender bolts at the fender lip). Looked awesome but didn't not work for me i and had to bring it back up an inch.

Well I have the ride height established. I also commend anyone who has a build completely commentated. Its a lot of work, taking tons of pics and finding time to write it all down. Anyways, should I add a crossmember behind the transmission or do you think I'll be fine. There is 1 in the back, 1 on top of the diff, 1 in front of the diff, 1 for the trans mount, and 1 under the motor. With all that I feel there should be 1 behind the trans. What do you guys think?

chassis looking good ryan..are you going to have to move the shifter or are you going to be able to use as is?..Im goin to have to move mine forward to clear the seat on my 53

I believe I'd add another crossmember..maybe something with a driveshaft loop...located close to your 4link mounts

Oh I have a new aftermarket seat. I haven't actually set it in there with the transmission mounted. I guess I'll figure that out when I get that far. They do make a relocate kit to move the shifter forward, if I run into that issue. I have the frame completely stripped and now flipped over so I can finish welding everything. I did manage to get my corvette pedal installed and the clutch master is hooked up to the pedal and the mounting bracket is welded to the firewall.

I have the frame stripped and now flipped to work on the bottom side. Currently welding in pieces to box in the frame ends and I'm adding 2 more cross members. Anybody have any good recommendations on a metal body filler. I've been welding little divits and then grinding them flat... too much work!! I thought they made something I could take a D/A to. After that I hope to get some paint on it by this weekend. Also I've been taking all my suspension parts to work to sand blast. After that hopefully putting the driveline back together for the final assembly.
