Post Hollywood really pisses me off!!!!

so...i get up this morning and do a brake job on my wife's mini van...then work on my dirt bike...then do some yard work and about 3:30 or so come in and get lunch and relax...so i flip the TV on and see 'Ground Hog Day' is on(Bill Murry a reporter keeps reliving the same day...ground hog day)...I saw it a long time ago (pre-67-72 truck infatuation era) and what do I see? A beautiful red 67/68? chevy truck running through a gate breaking what appears to be a perfect grill...then after racing around a bit in a gravel/quarry yard he drives it off a cliff and it lands upside down...only that's not enough for those rat bastards...they have to blow it up...catching the whole truck on fires!!!!! All this for a few seconds of footage. I ask you...is that a humane way for a chevy truck to end it's life after surviving for decades? Where's the justice people? Don't these people know about Ford Trucks? All I have to say is STOP THE SENSELESS DISTRUCTION OF EARLY CHEVY TRUCKS! If you must destroy an early truck pick something ugly like a ford or a dodge!

If it makes you feel any better, it was a '71 - '72 with the fugly egg crate grill, and if you went frame by frame on the scene that it went over the cliff, it was a beater, not the nice one that went over.

Hey but its a classic just the same. There for deserves respect. And we all know that a Dodge HEMI is a bad A$$ mother! Facts are facts. Just like the Chevy 350 is the alltime undisputable, most used, most popular engine ever made. On the same token you can't argue the fact that the Ford 9" rear end is the most used, most popular rear end ever made. There certain things like this that are just plain facts.

I know longhornmail! LOL just had to clear that up! LOL

And also I don't perfer 69,70 grills, but I think 71/72 grills are the best looking. They are the most used also. But 67/68 are definately popular for front clip transplants.

ahhh! those people in hollywood have been screwing up good old vehicles for years!!! It really does need to come to a stop!!! I don't mind it so bad when the total a F@%d or a D*dge, but when they purposely hurt a 67-72 Chevy, I draw the line!! If they are gonna destroy these beautiful creatures, they should at least post a disclaimer or something so us Chevy people don't have to sit there in the movie theater and cry whenever they ruin one of our trucks!!! Oh yeah, and that truck in Dazed and Confused was pretty sweet!! along with alot of other nice iron shown in the flick.

Cool

Woodstock. On the the "square".
I hope to figure the exact spot Bill Murry stole that 71-72 and park my truck there, and get some photos. But I did take a couple of pics allready.

I watched Bandits last nite. Good to see a 72 Suburban as the getaway car. They even had it in a wreck. When it was over the guy just brushed the other cars paint off the fender. No dent.

i dont know about yall, but i cried my eyes out when the charger crashd at the end of The FAST and the Furoius, they have a guy around here that built an exact copy, pretty cool car, but doesnt compare to a 1st gencamaro or a 70-72 chevelle, i dont think i'll watchany of these movies with 67-72's in them, i'll prob smash the tv when they crash

Just saw dazed and confused lastnight...i was sorta "under the influence" but i did see the part where the seniors were chasing the juniors in that big pig car, i remember the guys in the 71-72 cheyenne totally yank a e brake sorta thing then gun it over a couple curbs...i know it wouldnt hurt anything but geeez it was hard to watch that...there also were some really nice older generations in that movie...im going to rent it today i think..he he he...iwanna see it all
