Unhappy One less '69 Chevy out there...

Found out my friend wrecked his '69 Chevy pickup the other day.

He said he'd just converted the front to discs (but he didn't use a kit - something tells me he probably didn't get the proportioning valve set up right, but even if he did, it probably wouldn't have mattered) and on his way home from Flagstaff, the car in front of him suddenly realized there was traffic ahead and locked up the brakes...he couldn't see around to anticipate it, so he stood on 'em and tried to go around but clipped it...it ended up rolling a time or two, he bounced off of the rock on one side and guardrail on the other...

They're estimating over $7000 in bodywork alone. He thinks the frame is still straight, and a few panels are still good (he says somehow the tailgate ended up nearly unscathed!), so he's going to try to get the insurance money on it, then buy the salvage title and part out the rest of it...

One of our other friends already got dibs on his '99 Z71 seat, though. :P
