Transmission install question

Hey guys:

I am planning to install a motor and a 700r4 transmission in my 69 SWB. I have the two piece driveshaft, and I was wondering if the yoke should be all the way up inside the tailshaft of the transmission? I think it should be this way because the front section of the driveshaft does not move like the rear section does. Am I correct?
Help me if you can!

Bye:
