New guy from Nevada

Thought I'd send a quick note, actually been on the site for a month or so, attempted to suscribe a few times but got lost. Don't spend much time communicating on message boards. Currently doing a "ground up" on a 71 GMC Super Custom 1500. I've been driving a 1949 Studebaker pickup, chevy powered of course, during the summer months. Decided to build the GMC and drive it everywhere..except when the roads are icy. The Studebaker has a crate engine (vortec) and I'll go one better with the GMC and add fuel injection. It'll be lowered a few inches, nothing radical. Just enough so those 80 mph interstate trips will be comfortable. I've gotten a lot of information, not to mention a lot of intertainment off this site. Thanks Guys!
