Compression shackler vs. Tension shackle

I have no idea what i'm going to do with my suspension. It's stock right now (oh by the way, I haven't forgot about pics, just haven't had the time) and I just can't decide. One part of me wants to leave it stock and another wants it jacked up 6 inches. I am kind of thinking about settling about half way. I want to get the back level and maybe going up about two inches total with springs in the front and a shackle flip in the back. The question I have is about doing a two inch shackle flip. I have all the resources to fabricate my own flip but would it be worth it to do it for that small amount of lift? Is there a difference in ride with a tension shackle vs. compression shackle? The most I really want to put under it is 35's with NO fender trimming and I figure i'll probably need at least 4 inches suspension with maybe 1 inche body.

Help me make up my mind. It's going be a couple months so there's no pressure right now but the tires on it are a little worn and once I get it going good i'll be driving it daily. New tires are a big investment ( at least for my poor a$$) and i'm doing it once. Shoot, I might even buy some good AT's ( probably BFG) in a 31-32 inch size and just leave it alone for awhile.

Oh, keep in mind I have no intention to rockcrawl my truck, just basic four wheeling you can find around south texas and beaches.
