Hello everyone, I just came across this site about a week ago while I was just surfing the net, and I just have to keep coming back. I enjoy all the info posted by everyone, and am looking forward to posting my questions soon.
I just want to introduce myself and my baby......my 1988 GMC Sierra. I purchased this truck in Dec 2000 and I drive it everyday. At first it was in pretty bad shape and need some TLC. My first project was the body since it was covered in rust. All the body panels are new expect for the hood and the tail gate. It was a two tone colour (blue and gold) but i just went back to the original colour like the day it was new. Then the 700r4 tranny went in 2004, so I replaced it with a turbo 400 (great tranny). Then just this summer the rear main seal went so I just decided to replace the motor with a remanufactured one from Gopher Engines. The old engine had 321,000 km on it so I figured it was tired and I just didn't want to fix the rear main seal and then have other problems. Now what to do next? Any ideas? I have attached some pictures.....so I hope you all enjoy my baby. Thanks and I look forward to posting more.......
