funny little "chatter" in the bottom of motor

finally got my my rv 350 with quadra jet, swapped in place of the tired 283 with the two barrel....holly freakin @$#%! what a difference!! love the sound of those secondaries suckin air!!

i've got a little drip of oil around the pan that I've just about adjusted out and a little exhaust leak that i can pick out but i swear i hear what would be best described as a "lifter chatter" noise in the bottom of the engine.

I can't quite pinpoint what it is but i can clearly pick out where all the other squeaks and rattles are coming from except for the lifter chatter sound in the bottom of the motor.

I've got a $grand in this junkyard motor now and four ten hour days of tearing apart, cleaning, replacing all the pumps, timing gear, slapping some chevy orange on it, etc. and I'm just about burnt out .....

the motor was spotless inside, you'd swear it just came out of a crate and had some oil poured through it.

anyone have an idea what it could be or what to look for??
