New From NW Arkansas

Hi guys . Somehow I missed this thread until now. Been observing for a couple months now and starting to feel comfortable being a contributor and questioner. I have a 67 SWB Small Window C10 that my father and I purchased together a couple months back that we are just getting started on. Hopefully I'll be able to start a build thread before too long.

Progress is slow going at first as I'm waiting on parts to fix a broken pushrod and bad roller rocker. Seems when we bought the truck, it was only running on 7 cylinders. Live and learn. The scary thing is, I was impressed with the power then. Can't wait to see what it is like once we get the new parts in. Thought it was just a bad pushrod so ordered a new one and found out that the bearing for the matching roller rocker had failed, which allowed the pushrod to bend then break. So, any thoughts on where the missing 1/3rd of my pushrod could be? Someone said that it could get to the oil pan and may just be laying down there. Not being an engine expert, I'm not sure what passageways there are leading from the cylinder heads down to the oil pan.

Lastly, if you are in the NW Arkansas area, let me know as I'd like to meet some fellow enthusiasts! I live in Bella Vista to be exact.
