Has anyone ever popped an airgbag?

I had a thread going about air bags. I want to hang a bag on the frame and grind the bolts off the bottom so I can travel beyond the limit of the airgbag. This would leave my bag "uncontained" with pressure in it. Some think the bag would pop, some say no, No one has ever done it, so who knows for sure.
I am interested to know it anyone has ever popped an airbag and what caused it.

Thanks
