New Mamber

Just wanted to introduce myself...

I'm a new member. I own a 1970 Custom-10 SWB 1/2-ton fleetside 2WD. It was originally white with blue cloth interior. The mulberry bushes in my yard, and hte bird who ate them persuaded me to choose something besides white!

The truck is now Hugger Orange (a factory color called "Red Orange" on trucks) with a black vinyl interior. It is an original 396 truck with TH 400.

It's got American black & chrome modular wheels, an old Superior 500 chrome 3-spoke steering wheel, custom stainless exhaust tips, and a Gaylord's lid.

I took the (300 pound!) dealer-installed step bumper off, and put a stock rear chromy on. I built a custom drawbar hitch for it that tucks under the bumper, and adapted an S-10 crank-down spare tire carrier.

I've owned the truck for 22 years now.
