need some help.

i have a 1990 model 350 engine that originally came with a 700 r4 tranny (which i dont have). My question is will a turbo 350-or 400 bolt up to it or do i need some kind of adapter plate. Also will there be any other problems with this install. Motor is in a 72 swb stepper. This truck is not a daily driver so i dont need an overdrive. I dont have a tranny yet so i can get either, just wanted some input to see if it would work and maybe which of the 2 would be the least painful to install. thanks.
