Wheels and wheel studs...

Hey guys, I usually post in the 69-72 Blazer section but a problem with my build http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=1#post4279880 has let me here.

I am converting my front D44 axle over to 8 lug and when I bought the new hub/rotors the wheel studs seemed a little short and I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough lug nut thread engagement with the wheels I am running. Wheels are new aluminum wheels that have a 1/4" thick mounting flange.

I guess my question is whether or not you 8 lug guys, with stock wheel studs and newer style aluminum (or whatever) wheels have any issues?

You can read more about my problem in the link above - post #56

Thanks for the help!
