NP 205 to 700R4?

I have a 1986 K5 305(soon to be 350)/700R4 with a NP 208. I was wondering if I will be able to mate up a 205 to the 700R4 or if they only mate up to a TH350/400? Reason for the swap, truck is going to be a winter 4x4, would like the bullit proof t-case, and kinda want the cool factor of a twin stick conversion.
