My budget build/fix up 90 SWB Cheyenne

Ok so I picked this up from my moms co-worker for $300 bucks good tags till 7/2013 4.3L th700r4 ran like crap when I picked it up would rev up out of gear good and then in gear big loss of spark turns out so far just needed a tune up did that and have put about 60 miles on it since seems to be running good still a bit cold blooded but goes good. I will been looking to swap the front for a dual head light set up and grill.

So what all do I need for the other set up core support ect...

I'd like to lower it, can you guys input on the lowest I can go with out c-notching or having to run different inner front fenders. Also cheap lowering methods? Pros and cons maybe?

Here's some pics of how it looks now.
