possible backwards clutch disk

just put a sm465 in my truck, with new flywheel and clutch assembly.Got it put back together and it won't go into gear with the engine running. I tried to pit it in gear and start it, the truck moved very slightly but sounds like the clutch was slipping badly.

from what I've searched, sounds like the disk is in backwards, my question is which is the correct direction for it to face? it didn't have any markings on it...in hindsight I should have paid more attention to how the old one came out....oh well, hope you guys can shed some light
