Plumbing the fuel

Hey guys, just a quick inquiry that hopefully will solve a few day headache for me. Got me a nice little 71 GMC short bed. I pulled the old power plant and swapped it out for a 5.7L tbi set up until i can get somethin bigger and better. My question being, since the tbi is already regulated, is there any need to plumb a pressure regulator? I got a whole new fuel kit, pump, filter, lines etc and the additional regulator came with. Don't want to do more work than needed. Thanks for any help you guys can offer!!!
