flostrac Registered User Join Date: Jan 2013 Location: Swedesboro, NJ Posts: 9	54 Chevy, with 9 foot bed I have an opportunity to purchase a 54 Chevy, 3/4 ton, in good condition for $1,000. The truck has a 9 foot bed. I don't want the 9ft bed, what options are there? Can I shorten the frame, and install a short bed? Thanks, for any ideas.
