I tried to find a factory 2wd drive for two years or more! Looked at a couple in this part of the country and found a lot of rust in both. Couldn't afford the eBay ones... In my daily national searches I found this one in Sacramento, CA. The owner was a great guy and honest about the truck. An auto appraisal company performed a thorough inspection and I received a thirty page booklet with color photographs of all areas on the truck. Got it home and it was just as described, completely rust free, all factory sheet metal, perfect rocker panels and boxes. The blue primer/guide coat is how I got it. Spent all of last fall,winter and spring tearing it down and restoring. It already had a 454/400TH drive train in it when I got it. Ran pretty good but freshened it up. Put on a polished intake, carb, ceramic coated headers, new exhaust, valve covers and a few other things. It is lowered with a static drop, spindles, springs, rear shock relocators and a boxed frame c-notch, custom modified trailing arm crossmember (exhaust passes through it). It now has 4 wheel disc brakes, wheels are Showwheel streeters 18x8 front 20x10 rear. It now painted Chevy victory red. Side marker lights shaved, rear roll pan installed and fuel filler relocated. The bed and floor pans were stripped and coated with POR paint and spray on bed liner before installing the interior. Tan leather interior, front seats are from a 06 impala, factory rear seat custom lowered brackets. I made the door panels and rear bed panels. Did my own french seam dash but I sent the console off to Conner Sweet (member) and it looks awesome!! Custom autosound stereo with kenwood speakers and a small amp. Still have a few minor things to do but I was able to get out to a few late summer shows and roll around with kids. Considering an LS2 and maybe air ride?????
