67-72 front crossmember VS squarebody

First C10 brought up if it would be possible to put a squarebody front crossmemebr in a 67-72 frame since the squarebody can accomidate a LS engine while the 67-72 needs a custom crossmember

I cant imagine no one has thought of trying this up until now but I havent seen any chatter on it. COuld one fit or be made to fit with some slight modification?

Would seem to be much easier and less expensive than the custom ones being offered
