Cigarette lighter ?????

Somehow, somewhere along the way, Someone, (prolly the guys that installed my a/c) Disconnected my cigarette lighter wire, and I dont know WHAT they did with it but its no where to be found. My question. How does it hook up?? Is there a certain wire I need to buy with a fitting on the end that plugs in? or do I just insert any kind of wire into the back of the lighter?? and where should I run this wire to, to get power from. I know this is a piddly thing, but I need to use it for my cell phone on my trip to Tx in a week. Would really suck to be broke down and have the cell battery dead on top of it,,, ... any help is appreciated
