There is nothing new about a GV other than the adapters offered. They are an old design borrowed from Europe. I cant remember the letter series but research lyshum (sp) over drive and you will find what I am talking about. From memory it was a 70s Volvo or Jaguar J or P type OD unit. Fairly common across the pond. Supposedly the original GV units still had the Lyshum tag on it. Spend some time on Google researching before dropping your coin. Has someone else said don't back up using it and the GV locks it out in lower gears. Not to back into the automatic part of the thread but the GV has a similar setup in it and will cook itself at low speed/RPMs.
