My 1st C10! Porsche Guy Convert!

I'm new to this Forum and very excited to be here to learn more about the 67-72 C10's! I've been a hardcore Porsche guy for 20+ years and decided a few short years ago to let them all go and find a new passion. I've always loved the 67-72 body style C10. I had the opportunity to buy a '69 Shorty from a good friend of mine. I've posted a couple of photos of my '69.

What's significant about this '69 is two things. My first Porsche 911 was a 1969 model, secondly is this particular C10 was built in the Lakewood Assembly GM Plant in Northeast Atlanta, Georgia ... as I was born in Atlanta and my grandfather would always drive me by the plant and point in the GM Plant's direction when I was a kid ... with cars in my blood and oil & gas running thru my veins.

I've already started the tear down on the truck but the original no rust truck will keep it's patina finish, the tired red interior will give way to a black/orange houndstooth interior and the original 307 V8 and Powerglide Auto transmission will be replaced with a 350/350hp backed by a Turbo 350 to keep it old school ... Right now it has a 3/5 drop with 15x6 & 15X8 steelies, while a few other upgrades will update the ride, but keep the days of yesteryear ever present!

My C10 will keep my '72 El Camino SS454 numbers matching muscle car/truck company in the garage!
