Hi Bill,

Sorry for the late response. Glad you are happy with the conversion. It does not really matter where the 12 volts comes from as long as it is actual battery voltage. My thought is always been to tag power with the shortest path which in this case is the temp gauge. I have sold many kits without wiring because the owner knows how they want to wire the conversion for there specific needs.
