Bench seat slide mechanism question

These two pictures are the bench seat slide locks on the driver's (right picture) and passenger's side (left picture) pins. I have the metal rod that connects the two, but I feel like I'm missing a piece that attaches to the driver's side release. I'd have expected it to have a hole like the passenger's side, for the rod to clip into. Did someone hack this piece up, or is there a piece that I'm indeed missing?

If it is damaged, is there some place I can find the pin, without buying a complete set of seat tracks?

And to everyone that has put up with all the questions I've been asking, THANKS! This is my first C10, and the first vehicle in a number of years that I've wrenched on this deep, so it's been a learning curve for sure. I've had a lot of fun working on this thing, and can't wait to get it on the road in the next month or so.
