Post How to completely remove speedometer?

thanks for the replies on the knob and spedo cable...but my odometer isn't working and I'd like to fix that as well. how do you remove the spedo complete from the cluster?

I was successful in removing the cover from the dash but everything is attached to it and i could only move it an inch or so from the dash(there's little or no slack in the cables/wires)...how are all the guages attached to it?

thanks in advance...you guys have been an awsome source of help thus far!
