Yes they were very road worthy, not real fast probably 30-40 mph tops. The post office had a lot of them that I remember. It's been awhile but I believe the one my father had was a Cushman air cooled twin cylinder engine 3 on the tree.

A buddy bought one at a yard sale a few years ago that he got running and fixed a few things then resold it on Craigslist.

I also remember the local P.D. "Meter Maids" they called them then drove these things.
