Opinion on stripe placement

I originally posted this in the general board thinking that more folks would have an opinion, but maybe the paint guys dont look at that one.

I am painting stripes on my sons blazer to break up the two tone. I want them to mimic the original style black and anodized aluminum trim. But I dont want them to look like poorly done imitations. I have the verticle spacing of the stripes lined out, but I am torn as to where to stop and start them front to back. I painted the first layer today and I'm just not sure. At the fenderwells I ended the stripe right at the dimple at the fender lip. At the doors and fenders I wrapped them around. I think I need one or the other.

Let me know what you think
Thanks
Lynn
