Hold down retainer for Speedo Bullet - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Well my 15 minute project to replace the leaking speedo bullet has turned in to a more in depth job. The bolt for the hold down retainer broke off in the housing. Now I have to figure out how to extract the broken bolt.

First, anyone know what size bolt to replace the broken bolt with?

Second, any MacGyver tricks for closing off the speedo bullet hole until I can get the broken bolt out and replaced?
