Spindle Selection Help

Hello! I'd like to keep my aftermarket 15" rims, I think they look good. Also the city doesn't like project vehicles & parts lying around, you know the song & dance.
I frequently saw the 73-87 spindle posts saying they'd have to get another rim set due to caliper clearance.

Would I also have to switch out rims for the 71-72 spindles due to the caliper?
Also how could I find out if my rim would work? (there are alot of 90's & below vehicles with 15" tires & disc brakes)

I read the stickys & many other posts, Thanks fof all the help & advice!
