Epoxy primer after media blasting??

So my cab had been media blasted with glass awhile now. Still bare metal sitting in my garage on a pallet which is on two dollies. Time and money doesn't allow alot of time with the build.
But some available time and money has come up.
Now the cab is rough throughout. I read about people say to use epoxy primer and that will smooth out the metal and allow any body work and ready for paint. Some say to sand the body smooth. I can't even run a rag over the body.
What would be a proper/right/correct steps with dealing with a rough textured cab after glass media blasting??
I've asked on her before but got more confused with a replies. Maybe I just need step by step tutorial. 😆
Thanks again. I'm a man of many questions.
