While I have my carb off...
Hey all.
Because I needed to replace my carburetor base gasket, I have pulled off my 1981-vintage Varajet II (no. 17081621) and have it sitting on the bench in my shop. I will be reinstalling it shortly. Question: While I have it out of the truck, are there some things I should be checking/adjusting/cleaning while it's easy to get to? Of course the whole thing needs going over with carb cleaner, and I'll lube the linkages and make sure all the visible springs are whole and working. I already know the accelerator pump is pretty strong. What else? |
