Re: Snip snip

I did something like that with my upper shock mount. I was thinking you might want to put a gusset on that?? Maybe not....

Do you have any bolts going through the crossmember into the side rail? I've been thinking (I'll have to wait until I get my frame back) that maybe I can make a bracket for those holes that stick up past the top of the frame to connect that part of the crossmember to the top of the frame.

Gussets are there, just hard to see...

Xmember has bolts through the frame. It's solid.

Where did you get bolts through the side of the frame? Have any pics?

Just below where the cross shafts mount, there are 2 holes in that bracket, with bolts going through and getting nutted from the inside of the frame channel. It's pretty much impossible to get a pic of them without pulling off the wheel .

Hmm, I'll have to check that area again when I get my frame back. I thought there wasn't any flat areas there to put bolts.

I don't have any front sheet metal on mine (or wheels for that matter). I'll try & get a couple of pics before I remove my notched crossmember for something else .

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Snip snip

It will take a big stocking to shove a DROPMEMBER in won't it.
