OK guys, here is step by step what to do after you get all the parts out of the door. Take the handle rod out and the lock rod.
(Pic 1)In my first pic you see both rods plus lock and handle, this is what they look like when you first take them out. (Pic 2)Next pic, you see how I cut the lock rod that is about 2" long and the handle rod that is about 4.5 long. I am saying about because it could be a little different on your truck. Cut them a little long and you can always put a bend in them. (Pic 3)I have welded the parts together and you can now test fit. Like I said it was take a time or two to get the bends just right so it works nice and smooth. I also have pics with the plate welded it. You have to take you time so you do not get it to hot.
