1996 Cheyenne
ok this is my boys pickup. I originally bought this truck 8 years ago to get me to work. it's a v6 so it had decent fuel millage. since then i replaced it with a diesel and sold it to my dad for 3 50 cent pieces. I asked my dad to give it to my boy, so he drove it down from oregon where he had parked it under a cherry tree for 8 years (thus the algae). he drove it maybe 3 time a month and took it on a couple of trips. it now has 150K on the odometer and believe it or not no real oil leaks, and passes calif smog!.
the plan is to lower it 6" in the rear and 2" in the front. we took the bead off and rented a presser washer. the spring flip kit should be here friday so hopefully we will have the rear lower sooner than later. ill keep the picts coming....

Awww yes, nothing like the blow back of a pressure washer to make you feel accomplished. Looks like a nice start to the build!

Re: 1996 Cheyenne
just simple stuff like maybe some escalade badging and nice rims and tires. trying to keep this affordable and safe. were thinking a flat white paint with red accents as well. im on the fence weather or not to add rear disks. im worried that he might lock them up easier. i cant tell if the rear has anti lock.
also where can i get some drop shocks any one know a part number. or a car that has similar dimensions. were doing a 4 to 6 in the rear some guys were quoting me $200 for 4...( i ain't that dumb) thanks guys for the help and comments GT

Re: 1996 Cheyenne
ok we have partz. finally my belltech drop spindles came in. i ordered from jegs and it took over a month for them to ship more like 6 weeks. kinda silly if you ask me. they should mention that before you purchase the part. anyways me and the boy installed the spindles and chopped 180 deg off the top of the springs. here are the picks...

Re: 1996 Cheyenne
ok more clearance of the front fenders. we pulled the fenders and cut out some clearance areas where the tire is rubbing. I ordered some bump stops to help the front from dropping to low on a bump and rubbing. sure alot of bolts to remove....
