Seeking suggestions for '69 C-10 Suspension
Thanks for taking the time to review and respond to my thread. I have a 69 C 10 truck project and could use some suggestions for selecting the right components to achieve my end goal of a 4"/6" drop, with disc brake conversion for the front.
To get the 4" drop for front suspension I am considering drop spindles and springs. Q: Are the stock A-Arms compatible with 2.5" drop spindles and 1.5" drop springs? Q: What brand or manufacturer would you suggest I use? Q: Is the stock location of the shock mounts any issue? As for the rear suspension, I have already c-notched the frame and plan to use the stock trailing arms, but I want to utilize airbags in the back for an adjustable ride. Q: Should I use relocation mounts for the shocks? Q: Do I need an adjustable tension tracking/tension bar? Q: What manufacturer would you recommend for the bags and mounting hardware? In-addition I want to convert the front brakes to a disc brake, and keep the rear drums. Q: What is a good manufacturer that makes a kit compatible with drop spindles? If you have any.suggestions or if Ive overlooked anything please don't hesitate to pass along any advice or experience you have had. Again thank you, I look forward to getting the truck back on the road. -Friscokidd Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

You are asking all the right questions. Look at the drop member 72BlckButy did on his '69 with ECE parts. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=353633

Also welcome to the board.
Look at the "Projects and Builds" area and the "Suspension" area. Tons of info on a very popular question, that gets asked here every day.

Re: Seeking suggestions for '69 C-10 Suspension
Welcome! I am working on my 69, and just finished the suspension lat night, save a few odds and ends and adjustments. I have bags all around, spindles oj the front, and shock relocators, adj trac bar, disc brakes, etc. I bought a lot of my stuff from ProPerformance here on the board. Travis was helpful, and gave some good deals. You can find him in the suspension marketplace. There are a ton of people on here who can help, and I see you have already been talking with the MAN when it comes to all things lowered ( guess thats why the call him lolife). Feel free to pm me if youu want pics of anything specific.
