1963 Steering Box adjustment question

Happy new year folks!

I've read the adjustment procedure in the manual and it seems pretty straightforward. It doesn't say to jack up and support the front end before doing the adjustment. Is that correct, the truck stays on the ground?

thanks,
Greg

Re: 1963 Steering Box adjustment question

there should be no issue doing it on the ground as long as you can get to the adjustment screw.

Agree. Be sure the wheels are straight ahead.
