Lost Wages
I am taking my 14 year old son to Vegas for a quicky road trip. As I promised him a buffet, and a round at Battlefield Vegas.
So any places you guys have taken a kid in Vegas? Our first leg is to Ludlow, and to see the ghost towns there. Plus visa a aunt in Kingman AZ. Go over the Boukder damn, and see the Monster Muesuem, and train muesuem there. I don't want to go out of the Vegas city limits as we're only going to be there over night. Then head home down the 15. If I loose my mind I will cruise Death Valley. |

Re: Lost Wages
As long as you will be driving over it I would tour the dam.
Don't know if they do tours but maybe tour the Shelby production shop? |

Re: Lost Wages
Hoover!!
While you’re there, tell him the hydroelectric and dam safety industry is dying for more workforce. Great paying, reliable, rewarding jobs that most don’t know about. Have him tell his friends too lol EDIT: just saw the city limit one-day comment, doh! Hope you guys make great memories

Re: Lost Wages
Hoover dam? Good to know. I have a neighbor who can do that, who's been out of work for almost a year.

Re: Lost Wages
With around 300,000 "human beings" coming into the USA borders every month the workforce should be filled up pretty quick.

Re: Lost Wages
^ Who are those "human beings"? Maybe you could go do the vegetable picking, instead?

Re: Lost Wages
When we toured the dam the guide said "if you are on your way to Vegas - good luck. If you are on your way back - better luck next time!"

Re: Lost Wages
Do the Scoot City Red Rock tour. You start in town and cruise out to the Red Rock Canyon on these cool 3-wheel gas-powered scooters. Then cruise back into town. Takes a few hours. I always wanted to check out the neon sign museum after dark.

Re: Lost Wages
The strip isn’t near as wild during the day, we’ve taken our younger kids there several times to go to M&M world and the Hershey store.usually when we are there it’s for NASCAR or laps for charity at the speedway in my Camaro, I’ve heard meow wolf is cool but we haven’t tried it yet. If your into spooky stuff Zach bagans haunted museum was really fun for my wife and I.

Re: Lost Wages
2nd on the Dam tour. Did it pre 9-11. Think some parts are still off limits since. For your 14 year old, seeing what can be done and controlled with 1930's tech should be an eye opener. When I did it, the dam was still the main road across the river in that area. No fancy bridge.
