I've said it before and it repeats mentioning...
The little things are time consuming and a pain in the buttocks... It seems as though all the small things are more difficult to fix than pulling motors and stabbing them into place... Research, read, investigate, research, read, blah, blah, blah...  With that being said, it is a little hard to keep my peeps up to date in the way that seems fitting to me... I see it like this...  Since most of my current activities are not worthy of pics, here are some of the more recent stuff that is... The truck was originally a three on the tree get up, so I had to do this... It was out with the old...   And then it was time to put in the "older"...  I found that a satin interior "Krylon" silver matched the original color best...  Shortly after this install the doorbell rang and this was on the doorstep...  Baby steps people... Baby steps... Ecspecially if you are on a really tight budget...  Until next time... I have come to the conclusion that a one year start up date is NOT going to happen...
As I am thrashing around trying to make it happen, I have my ol' man's voice, billowing down from Heaven saying, "Anybody can do it half ass boy! Take your time and do it right the first time." With that being said, I have resigned myself to doing it right and starting her up when I get it right... The first time... Thanks, Pop... Since custom power steering hoses are going to be needed, I have to mount the doghouse first to check for clearance of the inner fender... I won't bore you with details... Here are some recent pictures instead...        Still making progress, but not as fast as I would like... Maybe next time I will have pictures of the doghouse installed... One day closer to start up with every passing day... Till next time...

So what exactly needs to be done before start up? The engine and tranny are in, the gas tank is there and at least partially hooked up, seems you should be ready to go with a radiator and then just hooking up lines and wires to what you already have installed. Exhaust tubing is over rated.
The old wheel is definitely an improvement.

the fender looks awsome! man keep it up!! the older wheel is the last wheel to give a guy the its an oldie feel! with the ciricle horn cap and the hard rubbery stuff around the round stock...instead of the plastic and the squared horn cap.

It's over... Done... Finished... It's at that point I simply grab the remote and put the butt hammer to work... Cuz' that couch needs a lot of work & I'm qualified for the job after my work day... I want her to start as much as you guys do... It will be worth the extra time put in now, to increase the fun factor, later... Soon... Soon... |

man i wish you lived in tucson flu by u i could really use your 3 on the tree column i hate to pull mine apart to clean all the bearing greese my dad put in it over the years it all hardened up and you cant move the shifter anymore even with the shift linkage unhooked lol but im loving your build mine is the same color as your cab but i had to stop with the project and throw everything that isnt done togeather so i can get it running again... hard to deliver parts in a 93 rx7 lol

Got a little work done today... The guv-ment actually gave me a day off and didn't force me in to work on my, "day off "...
I just didn't answer my phone...  I am running the serp belt brackets off of a 89 Trans Am GTA... I have eliminated the smog pump and added a A/C delete pulley... My truck will have no A/C... (I have windows) My truck will have no heater... (That is what wool socks & long johns are for) I have searched this forum & others for the proper belt to use when you delete the smog pump... I found this link helpful... http://www.thirdgen.org/serpentine I read this forum as well as this one since I have a 350 with a factory roller cam from that Trans Am sitting on my garage floor that will soon be a 383 stroker pushing 400+ HP...  But that is for a future post... Stay tuned... The serp belt that I used was an O Reilly house brand called Master Pro and the part # was K060960. The measurement was 96 5/8 inches long... The A/C delete pulley is made by Motor Mite (?) part# 34157... I hope that helps spare someone a few headaches in the future...      My three hot rod girls helped me assemble the doghouse today... Thanks again ladies... Team work rules...  The roof will come after all the tid - bits are put into place...          That will be as far as I get for a couple of weeks... I now have to focus on my Yamaha FJR 1300 and get it ready for a road trip coming up soon... Ahhh... Vacations, back roads and a FAST bike... Good times...  FJR stands for... "Fast Japanese Rocket ship"... Until next time...
