Loose Column shift lever.
After rooting around for a while, and probably not looking at the right spot, I
would like to ask if there is a way to tighten up my shifting lever on my burb. It goes into gear just fine, but there is a lot of play in it. It is loose and flabby........ I want to replace it (in the future, but would like to find a temporary solution now) Thanks for the help... jeff Last edited by jmbstudios; 05-30-2006 at 03:08 AM. |

Re: Loose Column shift lever.
OK, let's start with the obvious. Is the pin that holds the actual lever in right? Is it worn? You probably have a little play in several places. Beyond that, check the linkage from the column to the tranny. There are several places in there that can get loose.
