I was thinking about right in this area-if you get exhaust/engine fumes you need to fix the problem-a healthy well sealed engine doesn't pose a problem IME

it's not mine -I stole that pic from the forum somewhere-it was the first one I found that showed the cab w/o fenders

although I do have a similar "swing set" contraption for the same purpose it's nowhere near as nice as that one

now that i have seen a shaved cowl i might consider this change myself. the air ram with ducking from the front of the truck to the sides of the cowl duct sounds like a great option since it's a cheap yet kind of a cool looking change. the other option of cutting luvers or holes in the side of the cowl duct is another great option but will likely prove drafty and noisy since the vent doors are in the same location. i'd be very interested in a follow up on this after someone finishes the mods.

Thats what do. Mine is under a tarp in the driveway. I will be doing the sam mod but will leave the center 12 or so inches that is hidden by the cowl hood anyway. best of both worlds.

Hey that was my thoughts too! I said heck it would be filled on the outside but still get air in the middle behind the scoop.
