Post who's got orig. mirrors on thier '68?

just ordered some round s/s and chrome mirrors from paul's . w/those long arms do they stick out alot from the running lines of the truck.i belive they are the same design as the o.e.,chevy just painted their arms and the mirror heads white.

I'm not sure what you're asking but they do stick out a ways and alot of people don't like the way they look (I'm not included in that bunch!) For 68 anyway the arms should be body colored and the mirrors should be painted white.

Mine were painted body color originally. (off of the old blue Longhorn) Had a stainless steel mirror head.

i guess what i was asking was whether or not the mirror head and arm would stick way out kinda like a west-coast style mirrors do.longhorn's pictures kinda show it better along the running lines of the gmc.are those stock longhorn? just wonderin' if it'll look like 2 satelite dishes mounted to the sides of my truck going' down the road!

My mirror heads are only 5 inches..I think stock is 6 inch?
Other than that, yes, the arms are stock.

huh, well hopefully they'll look okay.they better,they're $31 a piece at pauls, and already paid for! just need to put in 2.5hrs. o/t in tomorrow to pay for 'em!

I got mine and there painted black and they are just fine you just got to make sure to keep them tight I find myself tightening the mirror heads them selves every once and a while

I have stock mirrors on mine,theyve never bothered me,but i am going to go with 72 style when truck gets painted.
