Thumbs up Turtle Wax Ice

I saw a commercial for Turtle Wax Ice and thought I'd give it a try. All I can say is WOW...it's easy to apply and even easier to remove! My truck was so slippery that it took me a few tries to get the car cover on it...it kept slipping off!

Re: Turtle Wax Ice

Went and picked some up at Schucks yesterday. Tried it on Screamin' and was un-impressed last night. It leaves a hazey residue even after buffing by hand and with a 10" orbital. I'll stick with Meguiars or original Turtle Wax. I am gonna try it on the wife's Focus and Mom's explorer to see how it does there. Can't return it so I'll use it up on the Ferds

I do like the micro-fiber polishing rag that it comes with though, as far as silicone, it doesn't say it states that it is synthetic and contains petroleum distillates.

Re: Turtle Wax Ice

Update: Just got done scrubbin' and rubbin' the wife's Focus and I have to say that it worked pretty good there.

I'm probably way too picky about Screamin', I also just cut and buffed her out so I think the paint may have been "thirsty" for wax and was soaking it up too quickly. Either way Ice is a good "easy on, easy off" wax if your not into buffing.

I would recommend using a heavy paste wax and a buffer on an older or "thirsty" paint job, then use the Ice to maintain a shine.

The Ice packaging states that they recommend using a rubbing compound on even slightly oxidized paint as well.

Made the wife happy so .....Wax on....Wax off.....young Grasshopper
